always switch to new tab when open a link

Binary package hint: firefox

No matter u check or uncheck the box "When I open a link in a new tab,switch to it immediately. ",firefox always switch to the new tab.
Sometimes I wish to keep the original page.

Follow the step"Edit->Preference->tabs" can find the option.

for me it works well when i activate a link through middle-mouse button. How do you try to do it?

i just use left-mouse button to activate the link,and the browser switch to the new tab...

firefox-2.0 is no longer supported and firefox-3.0 has this by defauolt
