Bug Description

Problem Description
==================
Attempted to update/download microcode update from iprconfig on gp1p01 running Ubuntu 14.10 and
there is not a way to do this operation. This was confirmed as a known issue.

Firmware Level: fips811/b0919a_1438.811
O/S: Ubuntu 14.10

Machine Type:
Companion System Host Name: lcb202.aus.stglabs.ibm.com
Companion Network Address: 9.41.167.106
Fips Machine Name: gp1fp1.aus.stglabs.ibm.com
Fips Network Address: 9.3.136.88
Partition/System Network hostname: gp1p01.aus.stglabs.ibm.com
Partition/System Network Address: 9.3.136.98

The system is a Tuleta with Shiner adapters and Nvidia graphics processor.

Need microcode update support for Ubuntu 14.10.
I did not collect the dmesg file. There is not an option in iprconfig to update network adapters. That support is what I'm asking for in this defect

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1376109/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

This bug was fixed in the package iprutils - 2.4.10.1-1

---------------
iprutils (2.4.10.1-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release (LP: #1522412).
    - Add a command to update all devices to the latest microcode levels
      (LP: #1376109).
  * Don't try to install nonexistent iprdumpfmt.8.
