bcm 4306 can't install driver through restricted device manager

Bug Description
I just installed Tribe 5. I have a Compaq Presario 2100 (2175US) which includes the Broadcom 4306 wifi network component. When I run Restricted Driver Manager, the firmware selection appears in the list for activation. When I first selected the Broadcom firmware, I kept getting the "Software Package Not Enabled" for bcm43xx-fwcutter. After checking the bug reports, I figured out I needed to reload my Package Manager. I got past that step, and then ran into the dialogue asking for the location of the firmware. The "browse" button does not open anything when selected. Typing in the name of a local file, such as "/home/
