Bug Description

Hi all.

I've installed Cairo-dock 3.3.2 in my ubuntu 14.04 and now i have some annoying glitches in my display.
When i write (in anywhere, any window) i can see the cursor glitch and starting to blink in other places of the window.. Also, sometimes when pass the mouse over some icons they start to blink too.

One way to temporarily stop the blinks is to move the window, but it don't fix the problem at all

It's realy anoying.

Can someone help?

Hi,
what's your graphic card and drivers ?
I recommend you to try using the dock without OpenGL, because some drivers
can't support it.

If the dock doesn't ask you on startup, you can run "cairo-dock -A" from
the terminal once.

Hi there!

I apreciate your answer.
I realised that it's only the themes that don't work very well.. if I costumise the predefined theme, this works fine. :)

Hello,

By change, do you still have your old theme? If yes, can you share it with us? :-)

Of course,, but how i do that?

You can package it from the Themes manager of the dock (if you're still using it) or by creating an archive of your theme (maybe in this directory: ~/.config/cairo-dock/themes)

Maybe these glitches are due to the dock. Or it's maybe possible to prevent them :-)

As i said later, the glitches comes from the themes that are in the themes options for download, only. If i make my own theme (like the one that i just have send to you) that don't happen.

I think that is because i've an ATI grafic card and it don't goes well with OpenGL.... I don't know..

By the way, sorry for my poor english.. I'm portuguese..

Ok, now I understand the problem if you only have this bug with the OpenGL backend :-)
Then we can change the status to invalid if it's not due to the dock! Feel free to report this bug to ATI devs ;-)

Changed in cairo-dock-core:
status: New → Invalid
