Oh, you said that you have two icons; presumably the other one is from a previously mounted DVD? Perhaps you ejected one using the eject button on the drive? On 14.04 that would not automatically clean up the mounts (bug 1281110). Does that also happen with the same DVD right after a clean boot?

What ever the problem was, it is now fixed. Must have been fixed in one of the updates that were installed since the problem was reported.

Hi Martin,

Well, i have just shut off the pc, and put a blank dvd in the drive.

Same error.

When hovering over the icons it says "Blank DVD-R Disc" at both icons.

Btw. Brasero Disk Burner, works fine and reports 4,7 GB of free space on
DVD.
(See attached screenshot.)

I ejected the Blank DVD by right-clicking on one of the icons.
And replaced it with a other dvd, same error message pop up.
But this time only one dvd icon, appered this time.
(See attached screenshot.)

Thanks for reporting back. I blame this on bug 1281110 then, which is the most likely cause for this.

OK, unduplicating then. As cdrom_id is okay, I'm moving this one level up so far. When that happens, can you please copy&paste the output of "udisksctl info -b /dev/sr0" here? Thanks!

Thanks. So this is a bug in usb-creator. Note that this is really just cosmetical, because usb-creator is not meant to work with DVDs anyway as far as I know.
