I have a new usb remote controller distributed by HP. It works fine if you add the usb ids to source code.

Can you submit this upstream to LIRC. I'll grab the patch from CVS then in my next set of lirc changes.

Mario Limonciello: I have marked it upstream to LIRC's sourceforge. I assume this is all that is needed, for now, and that the dev will implement the patch to CVS ASAP.

When this happens I will let you know the CVS rev #.

I have a slowly growing debdiff in preparation that will be attached within
a day or two. I need to make the patch against linux-ubuntu-modules though
too (and that has been my delay). I'll attach it to this bug though once
its ready.
