Thank you don hardaway for submitting this report.

Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions
on [1], or upload the crash report that probably was generated during
the crash and that should be located at /var/crash/ to [2].

Please indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if
this crash is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it (it is
very important for us to have a test case for each crash).

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you don hardaway for your feedback.

Can you indicate which version of Ubuntu are you using? Are you using KDE? Gnome? which WM? what themes are you using?, also as requested before, indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if this crash is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it.

This crash may have relation to the one at Bug #110053 (MASTER firefox crashed [@draw_arrow] [@IA__gtk_paint_arrow] [@moz_gtk_widget_paint] -- in KDE) [1].

Thanks again in advance.

OK--Maybe some good news. In preparing the answers to your questions I switched the theme from Crux to Clearlooks just to see what would happen. Now the browser appears to be working properly when i click an attachment to download it. I will report back if anything changes but for now it appears that the Crux theme causes the problem.

Does the problem reappear if you switch back to crux? e.g. is it a
reproducible testcase to use crux?

OK maybe merge the other bug into this one and ask the reporters to
confirm that its their bug ... unless the other has a different,
working testcase already

... this one appears to boil down to be:

 'crux theme makes firefox crash'

Thank you don hardaway for your report,

We have found that this particular issue has already been reported as
bug #129007 [1] ([MASTER] firefox-bin crashed with crux theme
[@moz_gtk_widget_paint] at #10). Which has the same stack backtrace than
yours and a valid testcase.

Don, please feel free to add any other information you might consider to
be related to this particular issue (e.g. confirm the test case in the
master report or another detailed test case) either to [1] or [2].

As the original reporter you'll be informed by email of all comments or
changes that affects either this report or the Master Bug (bug
#129007
[1]). You can unsubscribe [3] to stop receiving this
mailing at any time.

And, of course, please don't doubt to report any other crashes/issues
you might find in the future.

Further information can be found at [4].

Again, thank you.
