Bug Description
1 System: Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) (64 bit)
2. Kernel Linux 3.11.0-23-generic
3. GNOME 3.4.2
4. Installed with software center
The package sabnzbdplus should handle WIN RAR 5.0 files. Somtimes it works like this:
At the beginning of download the programm stops with the warning: "RAR file encrypted download paused"
After the repair of the cue, the download must restarted manually clicking on the pause button.
Somtimes it does not work at all, because after the download the program shows the error: unusable RAR file
Unpacking the RAR 5 files with WIN RAR 5 works so the files are ok but not the inbuilt RAR support.

Sabnzbd+ versions >= 0.7.17 have (basic) support for rar5 format, when used alongside unrar >= 5. The latter is available in trusty/14.04 and newer; the former isn't in Ubuntu as yet but will be uploaded to Debian in time for utopic/14.10.
On older Ubuntu releases, neither is available out of the box in a sufficiently new version. That means you will have to find or create a (private) backport. For sab itself I maintain a ppa at https:/ /launchpad. net/~jcfp/ +archive/ ppa - which leaves just unrar to figure out by yourself.
