Bug Description
Samsung NP350E5C-A02AU notebook
The problem below was NOT present in Ubuntu 13.04
In xubuntu power options, machine is configured not to go to suspend when laptop lid is closed.
Once or twice a day, upon opening the lid I am presented with a black screen and I am unable to wake the machine. The only solution is to force the laptop to shutdown by holding down the power button.
On the one occasion the machine did wake (random key presses) it was unusable...the mouse was so slow I was unable to use it to reboot the machine.
I have tried permanently disabling suspend and hibernate with hacks found on forums but nothing has worked.
