Bug Description
SRU Request:
Running the proprietary nvidia drivers in an Optimus config works (Intel+NVIDIA), but switching to the guest session results in a black screen.
[Impact]
* Causes a black screen when switching to the guest session.
[Test Case]
* Run xrandr --output SOMEOUTPUT --rotation left
- Expected: Screen should rotate, or the call should fail.
- Bad behavior: Succeeds, but causes a black screen.
[Test Case]
* Boot the system
* Switch to guest session from top menu
- Expected: Switches to the guest session without problems.
- Actual results: The screen is black, only the cursor is visible in the upper left corner of the screen.
[Regression Potential]
* Low, as we already use the patch in Trusty and Utopic.
[Other Info]
* N/A
