Bug Description

LG Nexus 4

1. Force-close System Settings if it is running already.
2. Launch System Settings.

What happens:
- In 14.10 r13 it takes about 4.5 seconds to launch.
- In 14.10 r264 it takes about 9 seconds to launch.

What should happen: It takes less than 1.8 seconds to launch.

(See also bug 1376242, about changing the splash screen to make it seem a bit faster.)

Thanks, that's a known issue and not specific to settings, work is being done to improve the uitk on that front. It might be that settings could be optimized as well but most of the slowness is not specific to it

This bug was fixed in the package ubuntu-system-settings - 0.3+15.04.20141028.1-0ubuntu1

---------------
ubuntu-system-settings (0.3+15.04.20141028.1-0ubuntu1) vivid; urgency=low

  [ Ken VanDine ]
  * Refactored to use a singleton for UpdateManager shared in both QML
    and CPP. Don't load the dynamic visibility items while creating the
    item model, defer that to the loader. (LP: #1317007)

  [ Florian Boucault ]
  * Added QML debugging.
