Bug Description

This flip phone has a 32 gig SD card but does not AFIK use Android. There is a USB menu but the only option is "USB Mass Storage". I believe however it uses MTP. I do have a camera that mounts MTP OK so that is working.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.15 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

wb8nbs, could you please confirm this issue exists with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains, could you please run the following command in the development release from a terminal, as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

wb8nbs (wb8nbs) wrote : Re: USB won't mount Samsung Convoy 3 phone

Booted the 14.04 build from Sunday April 20. Still no mount of sdb1 or sdc1.

Needed to apt-get python-apport to get the report to work.
Saw this error message:

(process:4241): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed
dpkg-query: no packages found matching linux

But this is the first time I've seen the screen backlight adjust keys work. I will be upgrading soon to 14.04 because of this.
