Bug Description

I have an saa7134 tv card. I'm running 2.6.22-9-generic. TV seems to work fine from mplayer.

However, v4lctl core dumps every time I run it. I will attach the output.

xawtv runs fine until you hit 'q' to quit at which point, it also segfaults. See output attached

It appears that a few others are having the same problem.

Count me too :)

Seriously... fixed package is awaiting for review on mentors.d.n. If
you cannot wait for its "propagation" to Ubuntu get sources and give
pbuilder a try :^)

Take a look there:

Thanks for the information. Just wondering, would this prevent you
from tuning in channels correctly? I don't know if it's a myth
problem or a v4l problem.

Thanks!
Mike

No, I cannot remember any problems with scantv. I also cannot
reproduce Debian bug #430079 [1]. This seems to be a caused by
improperly handling of static struct member. As reported by Martin
Denn (patch submitter) it was fixed. This was unreproducible for me,
so patch did not changed anything for me. I hope this help others who
reported problems.
