Binary package hint: gnome-app-install
Just tried this after realising that the GStreamer musepack decoder plugin is not installed:
totem kantate.mpc
The codec installer comes up, but doesn't find the appropriate package (gstreamer0.
This is the output I get in the terminal:
tpm@zingle:~$ totem kantate.mpc
** Message: don't know how to handle audio/x-musepack
** Message: Error: You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file. You might need to install the necessary plugins.
gstplaybasebin.
** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer.
** (gnome-
additional codec installation declined
** Message: don't know how to handle audio/x-musepack
** Message: Error: You do not have a decoder installed to handle this file. You might need to install the necessary plugins.
gstplaybasebin.
Note the '** (gnome-
additional codec installation declined' which is not from totem.
This is with an up-to-date gutsy as per 01-08-2007 on amd64.
