qtcreator-plugin-cmake install breaks due to qt-creator package conflict

apt-get upgrade broke on my trusty install due to files conflicting between packages.
I had installed qtcreator 2.8.1-0ubuntu1, and when trying to apt-get upgrade the system I spotted the following error, that broke it:

Unpacking qtcreator-plugin-cmake:i386 (3.0.1-0ubuntu5) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/qtcreator-plugin-cmake_3.0.1-0ubuntu5_i386.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/qtcreator/plugins/QtProject/CMakeProjectManager.pluginspec', which is also in package qtcreator 2.8.1-0ubuntu1

It seems the package was split in two and the new package (qtcreator-plugin-cmake) is missing a Conflicts.
