Bug Description

The nebula texture M105.png supplied in the standard default set is in fact the nearby Galaxy NGC 3384 (also known as NGC 3371). Further the textures.json coordinates are not correct for either positions.

A new texture properly located will be provided as soon as one can be imaged that will take in the three galaxies in the section.

Hi Alex
That bug report was made years ago but we did not have a texture of m105. The texture labelled M105 is actually NGC 3384. I used a screen drop from virgo in my package showing the three galaxies M105,N3384 AND N3389. I am still waiting for a good photo but I have one from Peter Vasey that is a bit noisy or the one from virgo that is much cleaner.

I can give you either with a json file entry that can be used as a temporary measure. Peter is going to re image the area in the nothern winter.

Barry

I think we can use a bit noisy image for galaxies as temporary solution. Can you send me JSON & textures?
