screen does not wake after suspend always, intel

thi s is a problem after upgradeing from 13.10 to 14.04 beta. System has latest 14.04 updates

After suspend, the screen does not resume. There is no backlighting.

Are you sure it is just the backlight that is off? (Does changing its brightness restore the display?) Can you please attach a drm.debug=6 dmesg from across the suspend & resume?

My bug message is bad. The bug reporting indicates that it is actually a
kernel panic.
Please close this bug. automatic bug reporting was fixed when I changed the
login user to belong to group sudo.
