Is this reproducible with MSVC? The game can be fully replayed here (gcc, Linux) without crashing.

some more tests: win nightly crashes when construction of a bab mill is complete

Maybe there are some graphics missing or something like that. I still cannot reproduce any of this. As I don't have windows, it would be nice if you could look into it.

well whatever caused it - maybe really missing files - has been fixed between 9210 and the current nightly.
