webui auto refresh doesn't work

Bug Description
I'm not sure this is one or two bugs, I'm filing one and if it's the case I'll split them. I've tested on chrome and firefox.
Steps to reproduce:
First problem:
1) Deploy ticket-system from trunk r214
2) Access the web UI when Ticket System has no tickets.
3) Add a ticket using the CLI
What happens in the web UI: nothing.
What should happen: auto refresh should reload the data and the new ticket appear on the list.
Second problem:
4) Refresh the page manually. The ticket will show up and the auto refresh will give signs it's working (every 10 seconds a "Refreshing data..." label shows on the top of the ticket table)
5) Add another ticket using the CLI
What happens in the web UI: auto refresh keeps pretending it's working, but the ticket list only shows first added ticket.
What should happen: auto refresh should reload the data and the second ticket appear on the list.
6) Refresh the page manually. Second ticket will show up.
