Bug Description

Please upgrade zeromq to the latest release 4.0.3. The 2.2.0 release is almost 2 years old and some software like ffmpeg requires version 3 or higher if you want to build it with zeromq support.

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better. Looks like zeromq4 has been packaged in Debian experimental (http://packages.qa.debian.org/z/zeromq3.html). Once it migrates to unstable, it should be automatically synced to Ubuntu as well, though it may also be possible to request a sync earlier.

I don't know why it was done this way, but I see that 4.0.4+dfsg-2 is available (as the zeromq3 package) in Ubuntu 14.04, so I'm marking this as fixed.
