I will keep doing suspend/resume test with and without the option "radeon.dpm=1". I had no problem with (3.2, 3.5, 3.8, 3.11 and 3.13 w/o the radeon.dpm=1).

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.13 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Possibly it is a bios bug, and it is not related to ubuntu.

2) Latest bios.
Just say what tests / settings / kernels I have to try to help your work. In the weekend I will have extra time. Currently I use the PC without suspend.

gajdipajti, could you also please provide 4.?

As well, just to clarify, in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1273079/comments/3 you note that you can suspend with Ubuntu kernel (not mainline) 3.2 through 3.11, and with either Ubuntu or mainline 3.13 you cannot suspend with or without radeon.dpm=1?

Clarification:
 * I used 3.2, 3.5, 3.8, 3.11 with my machine (12.04*). Suspend/resume worked.
 * With 3.13 at first it worked. Then I enabled the radeon.dpm=1, and it did not came back.
    * I tried some bios settings, but no use.
 * Later I removed the radeon.dpm=1, and it does not work.
 * I tried the "mainline" 3.13 one, and still does not work.
 * No hw change, no overclock. Maybe some bios settings change.

This is a buggy motherboard, so I will do some tests on my own on the weekend, like remove non-essential hw (wifi stick, sata hdd). Do a bios reset and see if it works that way.

4-> I need some days.

gajdipajti, could you please test the latest mainline kernel via http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.14-rc8-trusty/ and advise if this problem is reproducible?

I've tested it with 3.14-rc8 (with and without radeon.dpm=1), and the resume is still not working.
Sorry I didn't make the test-4. I am in the middle of a thesis writing.

I can report success. I made some clean installs and bios settings changes, and I narrowed the problem down to Memory "Flexibility Option" which allows better tolerance for memory compatibility when Enabled. It is disabled by default, so after a bios reset I may have missed it in the past to reenable it.
Sorry guys that I robbed your time, you clearly make a very good job. This was a bios/hw related thing, no kernel bug.

It was a bios setting problem.
