Bug Description

Dear all,

Need help in resolving issue in the Purchase order. I am not able to resolve the issue as the error is not getting logged in the openerp-server log file. I see the error when I navigate in the following sequence.

Purchase order -> Click on Product (in the the line item)- > opens a form 'Open: Order lines'.-> Click on invoice and receptions tab -> Click on Product Description (Invoice line) and I see the following error

Error : Key Error : 'type'

http://localhost:8069/web/webclient/js?db=my_DB:2974

I am attaching the video of my navigation in purchase order which shows the error. This error however, is not showing in the log file and I am not able to find the root cause of this error.

I would appreciate any help to resolve the issue

Regards,

Hi

As such, I have not customized any part of the code. We are using just what is available in openERP. There is no customization that we have attempted to do . I should be able to resolve the issue if it is logged in the error log (in openerp-server log) file. The issue is that the error is not recorded in the file. If I am not looking at the correct file, kindly help me to know where I should see the log to find out the root cause of the error.

For your information, if I use the demonstration db provided by openerp on all browsers(Firefox,Chrome, IE), I do not get the error. But the problem I am referring to, is different which is - 'the error is not getting logged in the openerp-server log file'.

As mentioned, I need to know the root cause of error which would help me to resolve the actual issue in the purchase order module. Is there something I need to do to capture this error in the error log. As you would know, almost all errors that we encounter are recorded in the openerp-server log file with the time stamp, which we use for finding the root cause.

Thank you for looking into this problem and look forward for your response.

Regards

Sudheendra.

Sudheendra,

Kindly take a look at the error closely. It shows the field 'type' is not found within the view.

Technically, It could be possible that the view has been altered and/or the attrs depends on type field or so.

This is a web error and does not get logged on server, is more about javascript.

Thanks.
