In fact might not be the same problem. Is that specific to AAC? What do you call "choppy"? Does it happen when you use or don't use crossfading?

I have what I think is the same problem. With crossfade enabled, AAC files don't play properly, only small bits of the track play, with lots of stuttering, cracking, blipping, and pausing in between. Unlike in that bug (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436192), this happens at every point in the song, and only happens in AAC files. All of the songs play properly through totem and with crossfade turned off.

Yes, this is the problem that I had, now, I can't test it, I don't have
time.
I hope to have time that next week.

Sorry, this bug is not a duplicated of "Rhythmbox sound problems when not
using crossfading".

The problem is when using crossfading and AAC.

This is a different problem than bug 116990. This problem only occurs when crossfading is turned on. As comment 10 in bug 116990 states, that bug can be worked around by turning crossfade on (that is, that bug only occurs when crossfading is off, as stated in the summary).

This problem occurs with all AAC files, and only when crossfading is ON. Turning crossfading off temporarily solves the problem (but it leads to the problem described in bug 116990). This bug does not occur with MP3 files or FLAC files, as far as I can tell.

Also, bug 138728, which was also marked as a duplicate of 116990, is the same as this bug (and not a duplicate of 116990).

Daniel Goldsmith, agreed. Marking as a dupe of 138728 instead. I know 138728's newer, but it has more info than this bug, ie a debug log.
