Strange bugs : applications such as Audacity, Skype (32 bits), Krec no more work on my KDE session though I have no problems with the same application when I open a GNOME session ; still under investigation.

some more information :
a) when running esd in a console in my KDE session :

This bug is obviously linked to ALSA package.

Apparently it was a problem with "Full duplex mode" taht was required for these sound apps ; I wihed thi could have been clearly diagnosed by the sound apps that did not work at the time ; I restored "Full duplex mode" in KDE sound settings et now I can use these sound applications again.

You can drop this bug ; thanks for your help.
