I can also confirm the bug. Exactly the same behaviour as described in the first post.

I can also confirm the bug. After running 'quickly design' in terminal Glade crashes, showing the same behaviour as described above.

On Ubuntu 13.10 AMD64 I experienced a crash easily reproducible at will, which is probably this bug.

* How to reproduce

First install required packages :

sudo apt-get install glade zenity

then :

glade /usr/share/zenity/zenity.ui

Glade window opens then closes and terminal shows :

I am experiencing this bug too. I installed Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander which I received in the January issue of "Linux Pro Magazine". I installed both quickly and anjuta and in both cases the glade window opens and immediately closes. When I type glade at the terminal, the glade window does come up and stay up. In all cases I get the following error messages.

(glade:13283): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_recent_chooser_set_filter: assertion 'GTK_IS_RECENT_FILTER (filter)' failed
GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkEntry::input-purpose
GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkEntry::input-hints
GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkTextView::input-purpose
GladeUI-Message: No displayable values for property GtkTextView::input-hints
GladeUI-Message: 1 missing displayable value for GtkCellRendererAccel::accel-mode

I don't necessarily need glade. Is there any other IDE I can use to create a gnome application?
