With the radeon driver [0], this system can be suspended, but the screen flashes like a strobe light when it resumed from suspend, as described in bug 1133980
(however, you still can ssh into this system, but the display is not working)
Verified with 3.5.0-42 kernel, this system could be suspended / resumed successfully.
