Upgrade from 13.04 to 13.10 faild due to unknown bug - possibly a core problem

Well I just started an online upgrade from Ubuntu 13.04 to 13.10 - just like all the other times.

However this time the upgrade process was terminated after retreving the system files for upgrade (right after stage 2 of upgrade list).

It gave me an error report and told me to report an error on the "ubuntu-release-upgrader-core" part of the installation.

Hope you can come up with a solution.....

Reviewing the files from your upgrade attempt you seem to have enabled the xorg-edgers-ppa. This will prevent the upgrade as that PPA contains different versions of packages essential to Ubuntu. The page, https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa, contains details on to how to revert to the official Xorg packages.

Well I followed your instructions and still couldn't revert to the official Xorg packages as they instructed. I sent the Admin Team an email explaining as well.
