Bug Description

Since the update to Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) I cannot connect to the internet with my DELOCK Usb Ethernet adapter. The Networkmanager tries to connect and fails. There is no specific error message in the lock.

It seem to be related to the kernel-modules (usbnet, mcs7830, ...?). If I boot with kernel 3.8.0-31-generic everything works as expected. But with kernel 3.11.0-12-generic there is no internet-connection possible via USB-Ethernet.

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.12 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.

Observation: The problem seem to be related to USB 2.0 vs. USB 3.0. On the same laptop with Linux 3.11.0-12-generic i686 internet works perfect on the USB 2.0 port. On the USB 3.0 port there is no internet connection.
