Bug Description

Having upgraded from 0.25 to 0.27 (smoothest upgrade to date btw) I noticed the following error in my motd:

Schedule Conflicts:
Unable to access MythTV Perl API. Try with --verbose to find out why.

having run mythtv-status with --verbose it seems to be having a problem logging into the mythconverg database with:
/usr/share/perl5/MythTV.pm

HOWEVER

if I hard-code the correct username and password so it can log into MySQL, you then get the following error:

Database schema 1317 not supported.
Bindings support schema version 1299

seems the 0.27 version of mythtv-status has some issues?

This is fixed in 0.10.2-1~ppa which I now pushed for precise to the 0.27 PPA (from the 0.26 PPA). We still need to push it for other releases.

I'm pretty sure I'm using that version-

$ ls /var/cache/apt/archives |grep mythtv-status
mythtv-status_0.10.2-1~ppa_all.deb
mythtv-status_0.9.3-1_all.deb

$ mythtv-status --version
mythtv-status, version 0.10.2.

is that the same version you were talking about?

That is the same version, but I don't have any issues with it on 0.27

thomas@ares:~$ mythtv-status --version
mythtv-status, version 0.10.2.

ii mythtv-backend 2:0.27.0+fixes. Personal video recorder application (server)
thomas@ares:~$ dpkg -l mythtv-backend
ii mythtv-backend
2:0.27.0+fixes.20130919.5b917e8-0u Personal video recorder application
(server)

Recently upgraded to saucy (sadly, but nfs was broken and time to investigate was limited) and now I have 0.10.2.3 and the error message appears again!

This gets me somehow to a "$@" variable in the script which I do not yet completely understand.

Two things could be related: #220604
and this here - which I dimly recall doing ages ago but which now does not work any more

Just tested 0.10.4-1 and it seems to be working on 14.10. Marking this as fixed released. Please feel free to reopen this if it's still and issue.
