Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
Compiz has a low frame rate and random-ish pauses in movement, unless I run it with --indirect-
The compiz wrapper script probably should add the parameter automatically with my GPU. I’m using the proprietary nvidia driver.

Results with the benchmark plugin:
--indirect- rendering:
• idle: 59.9 FPS (my screen’s refresh rate is 60 Hz)
• typing to a terminal: 55 – 59 FPS (the benchmark plugin itself seems to slow everything down quite a bit; it’s smoother without the plugin)
• switching between workspaces rapidly: 55 – 59 FPS
Without --indirect- rendering:
• idle: 27 – 28 FPS
• typing to a terminal: 23 – 27 FPS
• switching between workspaces rapidly: 15 FPS
