Bug Description

Please, update pinta from 1.3.3 to upstream stable 1.5.0 version in Ubuntu 14.10 (Utopic) and backport to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty).

We're going to be releasing 1.5 very soon, so the stable PPA will be updated then for Saucy.

Pinta 1.4 is in debian experimental, it's probably syncable

The pinta-maintainers/pinta-stable PPA now has packages of Pinta 1.4 for raring and saucy.

I don't think Ubuntu will want to deviate too far from Debian without a compelling reason. Have you pushed for 1.5 to get into Debian unstable? Mind you, unstable is frozen now, so maybe getting a sync from experimental will be easier.

1.6 is in Debian experimental and Vivid (see bug 1305701). Yay!

LTS releases are stable, they will see only targeted patches. 1.3 is the version in Trusty and that will most likely not change. If you experience problems, report them here as being specific to trusty. My experience is that upstream was VERY helpful in getting targetted fixes backported. If that doesn't work for you, use pinta from one of the PPAs, mine included.

The problem as originally reported has been dealt with so I will close this ticket as fix released.
