linux-source 2.6.20-16.29 contains older version

linux-source-2.6.20 (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source

(Ubuntu 7.04)

I used synaptic to install the "linux-source" package, which installed linux-source-2.6.20.
Synaptic reports 2.6.20.16.28.1 is the latest version for linux-source, and 2.6.20-16.29 is the latest for linux-source-2.6.20
After unpacking the sources, configuring and building, this ended up creating something with the version number 2.6.20.3, not 2.6.20.16

I'm not sure I understand. I installed something that claimed to be
2.6.20-16, however when actually building it, it turned out to be 2.6.20-3.
Is that not a bug?
