full notification list is difficult to read and to use

Bug Description

Right now, if you click on the notification link at the top and see all notifications, you see a list of notifications.

* It's not obvious how to get rid of them (you can click on the logo or "browse" or "build" to do so).
* It's difficult to read them because the charm browser is in the way (you can minimize it by clicking on the tab, which is also not obvious).
* If you only have one or two, it collapses the charm browser, making it unusable.

Even after fixing these things, the notifications story needs some serious attention, but these are fundamental problems that could probably be addressed in isolation and without rethinking too much. To be clear, then, this bug is about finding a reasonable *and expedient* solution to these severe issues.

I've had notifications on the agenda for next week for a while now, I
thought it would be best to sprint through a solution and I guess you agree
:)

Yeah, cool, Luca. I'm not sure yet what our availability will be for this next week, but I hope you are right.

Hi Gary,

We have improved notifications to solve these issues, right? Comingsoon doesn't currently include the final design but it's getting there. Do we have an eta when the final design will be implemented?

Thanks,

Luca

Hi Luca. Thanks for bringing this up. I have removed you from the assignee.

We do not have an ETA. It is not scheduled, but roughly prioritized (relatively low, per discussions we had at Burlingame). It's very unlikely that we will consider prioritizing it higher until after the February sprint, at the least.
