Can't uncheck played checkbox

Bug Description

Whenever a track is played, a checkmark is placed next to the play counter to indicate this track has been played this session. These checkmarks refuse to reset; the only way to clear these checkmarks is to manually reset the play count of each and every track.

I did not have this problem with Beta 2, only with the final version of MIXXX. It does this on two computers, both are 64 bit and both are running Windows 7. One is a Lenovo desktop, the other is a Hewlett-Packard laptop, both are using the original sound cards.

I cannot confirm exactly this this issue. But While testing this I have found a quite similar issue reported in bug #1205197

Gary sent me his logs and the problem he is seeing is by design since his
Mixxx setup is not shutting down correctly. When Mixxx doesn't shut down
correctly we assume it has crashed so we don't clear the checkboxes so that
when you start it up again (e.g. in the middle of your set) you still have
your played tracks marked.

To solve the real problem we should figure out why Gary's copy of Mixxx is
crashing on exit.

Something else interesting, this past Friday I used it one more time -- after manually resetting all the counters to zero. I've also entered MIXXX a few times before the show, to LOOK at certain files in the library but not play anything. THEN, when I opened MIXXX to start the show, I noticed a few tracks had the checkmark again! These are songs I've played before, but not at the previous show or the one before. Quite interesting.

As for crashing during shutdown, indeed I HAVE had error messages a couple times but lately I haven't received them. I don't know what might be causing a crash problem; again this happens on two computers, one is a Lenovo and the other is an HP, both running Windows 7.

I reported this bug last year; I just found it again to check on the status. On March 2, 2014 I installed MIXXX 1.11 final on two computers, a Lenovo Dasktop and an HP laptop. BOTH have major problems with the play count and checks. The HP has popped up windows on exit basically saying it has crashed, but the desktop appears fine -- except that the play count/checks don't reset. I'm leaving 1.11 final on my desktop because I use it mainly for experimenting and looking at my library. The laptop is used for gigs, so I've been forced to drop back to 1.11 beta 2 -- which works perfectly.

Another point that might be related, with 1.11 beta 2 I can import a track from a flash drive or other window and it does not put it in the library. With 1.11 final it does. I personally prefer it does not, or at least have an option for this, but I'm told it's supposed to. Might this be related to the crashing/playcount problem?

Both computers are 64 bit, running Windows 7.

I'm finding it very hard to believe I have the only 2 computers in the entire world experiencing this problem!

If you have any suggestions for me to try, let me know -- I can experiment on my desktop.

Hm, thanks a lot for the update Gary. We will definitely get you to test out 1.12.0 beta when it comes out to see if we've fixed this.

Hi Gary

We have new windows builds. Owen did some work with the checkmark and play counters. Can you test if this still is a problem for you?

Marking incomplete (since we're waiting on test results from Gary) and removing mention of checkmarks not resetting after a crash since that's working-as-intended.
