Toolbar buttons not working (Windows 8)

Bug Description

Inkscape version: 0.48
Platform: Windows 8

Clicking a button on one of the toolbars only works the first time, after that the toolbars become unresponisive. For example: if I click the 'draw rectangle' I can draw rectangles, but nothing happens when I click another button on the toolbar.

I checked output in the terminal: there are no errors there.

I also found the following work-around: the buttons start working again as soon as I move or resize the Inkscape Window (only a tiny resize/move is sufficient). But again, only the first click works, after that I have to resize/move the window again. This is not really practical, of course.

I wonder if more people using Windows 8 encountered this bug.

Yep, missed that one.

And Gimp is also affected, so it seems to be a GTK+ issue.
