video recording broken

This is a recent regression, was working fine.
You just get a blank black screen when entering video mode, with this error when running:
adb shell /system/bin/logcat

some more information - if you toggle the camera between back and front a few times you can get the video preview to display. Seems in still mode you sometimes hit the same problem of getting a black screen, but only after toggling to the front camera. The video preview is blank by default until you toggle a few times.

Still broken in saucy-55 on maguro
When I switch to video mode and press the red button nothing happens. No video is recorded.

wow, it's totally busted. it actual does record videos but you don't know it because there is no feedback in the camera app. Then if you open gallery you see video thumbnails which play back but have the camera controls in the video. not good
