The string »Sunset« in german »Sonnenuntergang« is too long and needs too much space in the clock.

Nice catch! Though I have no idea how to fix it programmatically. The UI should somehow get the size of the text in a particular language and decide if it will fit or not. Will ask David Planella regarding this.

@Alan, I agree. We can bring this up in the design meeting this thursday :)

Generally, components should resize to adapt to the size of the text or ellipsize if there isn't enough text, but I guess this is a tricky one, as I imagine it's a label inside a circle.

An image looks like a good workaround to me, but I think it's one where we need design input. I'd suggest bringing it up on the mailing list, so that everyone can have a think in preparation for the design meeting.

@Phillip, I have 2 queries,

1. Can you attach a screenshot with the latest clock build? I haven't done anything but just want to see if this issue is still persistent.

2. If the string is truncated to something like "Sonnenunter..." would that make sense? Or should we stick to using icons perhaps as suggested by Alan above?

@Nekhelesh
1. Done, still there, and i notice that »Stadt hinzufügen« is also too long, is there already a bug report for that one?

2. »Sonnenunter …« or something like that, don't makes sense. We can use »Abendstunden«, but this means: »in the early evening« so i would prefer that we use the icons.
