grive package is missing library libbfd-2.23-system.so

running command grive gives output:
grive: error while loading shared libraries: libbfd-2.23-system.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The version that is available through the default repositories is out of date. It installs an earlier version (grive 0.2.0-1). You can update to a newer version which seems to free of any bugs:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
 $ sudo apt-get update
 $ sudo apt-get install grive

It will install 0.3.0-1+git20120806~webupd8~raring1 as of 7/2/2013.

Tested this newer version on Linux Mint 15. It works.

I'm experencing the same problem here.
After installing in ubuntu raring
it says it cannot load libbfd-2.23-system.so

I've found a workaround in

This bug report seems to be a duplicate of the other one.
