Bug Description

So in the switch to Saucy from Raring the performance of the Unity desktop went from very good to terrible. Moving windows stutter and lag, opening the dash is painful. It's really to the point where I can't use it. I'm using the open source radeon drivers on an AMD A8-3500m APU with a Radeon HD 6620G (BeaverCreek) onboard.

Naively I'd guess it might be related to this:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mesa/+bug/1187500

.. so I raised it here because Unity is the only thing demonstrating the issue or me.

Hi Geoff,

Are you still seeing bad performance in Unity with the radeon driver?

No! Performance is now back normal. I'd forgotten all about this bug, but from my perspective it can be closed.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for letting me know. Since I'm not sure which package fixed this, I'll just mark this Invalid.
