Bug Description

Can't get ubuntu one to sync my folders on 13.04.

The gui application stalls on "Getting information, please wait" when I check a folder.

u1sdtool --subscribe-folder=4c43a0a1-5e49-4ef4-9543-XXXXXXXX
Unhandled error in Deferred:
Unhandled Error
Traceback (most recent call last):
Failure: ubuntuone.platform.tools.linux.IPCError: org.freedesktop.DBus.Python.OSError:

u1sdtool --status
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing the commands pool
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE

I've tried deleting my keyring entry. Which brings the gui back to the beginning, I can sign in, then I click the folder, and it stalls again. I've tried deleting the syncdaemon.conf under .config/ubuntuone. I've tried adding file_sync_enabled = True to the file, as per some other forum posts /bug reports but I nothing works.

Not sure where to go from here, I'll gladly post logs if someone can tell me what's additional information is needed.

Still no joy, removed all (including the machine I'm trying to sync) extra devices via the website, restarted Ubuntu one, and still getting the same error.
Tried moving(renaming) the local folder I'm trying to sync and telling it to sync the folder available and it still gives the same error.

Found the issue. Ubuntu one apparently uses metadata from .local to determine where sync'd folders should be downloaded/synced. So I simply deleted the .local folder and voila it works.

Still a bug in my opinion, Ubuntu one should not be dependent on metadata (that can obviously be incorrect) rather than the current home directory of the user. At the very least it could use relative paths rather than absolute paths.
