Bug Description

Parcellite Version 1.4
Inkscape Version 0.48-nightly

Behavior:
So long as Parcellite is open when launching Inkscape, copy and pasting in inkscape will not work.

Work around sollutions to make Inkscape work again:
    1. Making sure Parcellite is closed before opening Inkscape.
    2. Closing Parcellite after Inkscape has been opened. Cutting and pasting will work now, even if Parcellite is reopened while Inkscape is still opened. Opening new Inkscape windows is fine too after Parcellite has been reopened.

Test computer:
Lubuntu 13.04 with recompiled 3.5.7.4 Kernel for the 'HID_MAX_USAGES" and change the value of it to '64000'' Fix for my mouse to work.
Intel 3570k, 8gb ram, hd4000 graphics

Forgive any misinformation, I'm new to posting bugs. After finding no information on how to make that work, and stumbling on Parcellite closing being a solution, I figured it was time to post this, just in case its of any rare help :) I'll be around to provide additional debug testing, but I appologize if I can't respond in a timely manner.

Same here with Ubuntu Raring 13.04, parcellite 1.1.4-1ubuntu1 and inkscape 0.48.4-0.1ubuntu2

This is also happening with complex objects in LibreOffice 1:4.0.4-0ubuntu1.

No more problems as of my testing tonight. However, I swear just a few days ago I had to close parcellite to make Inkscape be able to paste again. As of tonight, I'm unable to find out the combination of events that caused that to happen however. I'll post how to replicate it if I find out how to, but as of now, its working on:

Parcellite 1.1.5
Inkscape 0.48.4 r9939
Lubuntu 13.10 with a custom 3.11.0-13.20 Kernel. The only change being "HID_MAX_USAGES" is set to "64000'' in order for my mouse to work.

Intel 3570k, 16gb ram, hd4000 graphics

I'm not quite certain what you are referring to by complex objects, but I'd be happy to test if you are curious if its working now on the more current releases! Copy and pasting a graph in Libreoffice Draw resulted in no problems on LibreOffice versao 4.1.2.3

Notice that the version I was reporting was 1.1.4 and I think it is also the version of the original reporter (1.4 version doesn't exist so I suppose he meant 1.1.4).

Maybe this is fixed by parcellite 1.1.5 since I've asked some of my colleagues with more recent versions of Ubuntu and parcellite and they were not suffering this problem.

With complex objects I mean not just plain text but frames, drawings, etc.

Yes, this is actually fixed in 1.1.5

Check the release notes:
http://parcellite.sourceforge.net/?p=277
"
...
+Fixed bug 83, Ctrl+c/v does not work for blender.
...
+Fixed bug 97, inkscape doesn’t work (other objects besides text overwritten from clip).
...
"

http://sourceforge.net/p/parcellite/bugs/97/

So it would be great if this could be backported to Raring.
