Bug Description

Hello,

I have noticed HUGE number of strange logs in sysLog:
Apr 21 09:36:46 oko-Comp kernel: [54874.592117] [drm:drm_mode_addfb], [FB:31]
Apr 21 09:36:46 oko-Comp kernel: [54874.592130] [drm:radeon_crtc_page_flip], flip-ioctl() cur_fbo = ffff88004e8a1000, cur_bbo = ffff8801396dcc00

Such logs are written all the time to syslog (about 15 logs per 1 sec). It is constantly appending new logs which make my hard drive quite bussy all the time :(.

Could you please advice what could be the problem. ubuntu seems to work fine.

Mkrawetko, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p linux <replace-with-bug-number>

I posted apport-bug details to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1376807 and marked it as a duplicate of this. It is impacting the current LTS as shown below:

$ lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Release: 14.04
Codename: trusty

lspci shows the following video card in my Dell Optiplex 9020:
VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Caicos XTX [Radeon HD 8490 / R5 235X OEM]

I am willing to provide further details
