Bug Description
I know you generally track Debian, but there's a new version of xfsdump out, and it's new dump format is incompatible with earlier versions. The main distro I use is current with xfsdump, so as of 107 I can't restore from dumps made by my updated machines.

Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding, as I rarely use XFS. I assume this is the difference between xfsdump 3.0 and 3.1? Are you saying that the backup/restore between them are mutually incompatible? That is, dump from 3.0 cannot be restored from 3.1, and dump from 3.1 cannot be restored from 3.0? If so, I don't think there's anything that can be done, since functionality is broken either way.
xfsdump 3.1.1 is in debian unstable (Finnix tracks from testing), so you should be able to edit /etc/apt/ sources. list, change the cdn.debian.net lines from "testing" to "unstable", then "apt-get update" and "apt-get install xfsdump" to just pull in 3.1.1. Of course, this has to be done every time you need it.
Finnix 108 will be released soon, but will also have 3.0.6. Debian wheezy is being released at about the same time, after which time testing will open up to updates from unstable, so Finnix 109 should probably have >= 3.1.1.
