Bug Description
Ubuntu 12.10 and 13.04 contain 2 packages with the same software:
- jplayer: Ubuntu-only package, contains an old version (1.2.0). This package has been available since 11.10.
- libjs-jquery-
IMHO, jPlayer should be provided with the libjs-jquery-
The transition plan would be like this:
- I will add to libjs-jquery-
- You will add to jplayer this field: "Depends: libjs-jquery-
Please tell me what you think

Hi Pau,
Sorry this wasn't on our radar before. The jplayer package in Ubuntu is now a candidate for removal, due to its build-dependency on mtasc which is being removed from Debian.
Since jplayer has not been uploaded since 2010, and is outdated software, as an Ubuntu archive admin I am going to go ahead and remove this package now. I think you should feel free to add any Conflicts/Replaces you think appropriate to the libjs-jquery- jplayer package.
If someone is interested in re-adding jplayer as a transitional package, they should reference this bug in the upload and I will be happy to evaluate its reinclusion.
