Bug Description

System: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS

the dump is from linux-image-3.2.0-40-generic, linux-image-3.2.0-38-generic works just fine.

if the kernel did not crash, GPU hang will be detected. they might be related.

GPU hang:
[drm:gen6_sanitize_pm] *ERROR* Power management discrepancy: GEN6_RP_INTERRUPT_LIMITS expected 16110000, was 16000000
[drm:i915_hangcheck_elapsed] *ERROR* Hangcheck timer elapsed... GPU hung
[drm:i915_wait_request] *ERROR* i915_wait_request returns -11 (awaiting 3335 at 3303, next 3336)

Is the duplicate status confirmed? 'Cos I don't think it is a duplicate. I didn't find any lines at bug #1140716 about the [drm:gen6_sanitize_pm] ERROR that happens in here.

I have something similar in my Dell XPS 14z (Intel Sandybridge i7-2640M, nVidia GeForce GT 520M optimus, with bumblebee, laptop-mode-tools and jupiter, and using external monitor on HDMI port).
But, in my case, I'm not experiencing any crash, although, when the system is back from suspended mode, it shows the following (dmesg) where the error below appears 4 times at least:

[drm:gen6_sanitize_pm] *ERROR* Power management discrepancy: GEN6_RP_INTERRUPT_LIMITS expected 1a000000, was 12000000

The numbers at the end above vary between:
...expected 1a000000, was 12000000
...expected 1a0d0000, was 1a000000
...expected 000d0000, was 1a0d0000
...expected 000d0000, was 1a000000
...expected 1a000000, was 12060000

Here's a part of my dmesg result:

Sorry for the size of my last comment.

I forgot to point that I'm on Kernel 3.2.0-56-generic (Ubuntu 12.04 LTS).

Attaching full dmesg return file.
