Bug Description

Binary package hint: holotz-castle

holotz-castle:
  Installed: 1.3.8-2
  Candidate: 1.3.8-2
  Version table:
 *** 1.3.8-2 0

        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

When running this game, I always see the game menu displayed centred on the right hand boundary of the screen. Although the menu background image lines up correctly, I can only see half the menu text. This makes the options and other menus somewhat unusable. I can still "continue game" and "start game".

I am still seeing this issue in the current version in Gutsy. It is visible when fullscreen or windowed regardless of mode setting. It does not effect the in game, help or credits screens, only the menu screens - that includes options, save and load.

Is this symptom still reproducible in 8.10 beta?

I can certainly confirm it is still behaving this way in Hardy.
This is on a different machine with different hardware.

apt-cache policy holotz-castle

Has the package been upgraded in the 8.10 beta?

I can not confirm this with the recent version in karmic koala, see attached screenshot. Could you try using a Live-CD?
