Bug Description

I installed Ubuntu via USB on my CR-48 Chromebook and I thought there was an error in the installation. When I boot I can hear the familiar hand drum log screen sound but my display is black. I then later figured out that (at the point of the black screen) if I close the lid and open it immediately after, the Ubuntu log in screen appears like it should. Another problem upon finally getting the Ubuntu log in screen to appear is that my chromebook's fan seems to be running hard than it ever has before (that includes running Chrome OS, Chrubuntu 12.04, trying Ubuntu 11.04 from USB boot, and Insyde H20 BIOS). This kind of worries me because the fan seems to be on a constant full blast and has not stopped once since I have logged in to Ubuntu 13.04.

There have been a number of kernel updates since the one you reported this
bug against. Please test again with the newer kernel and indicate in the
bug if you are still not able to suspend/resume.

You can update to the latest kernel by simply running the following commands in a terminal window:
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

If the bug still exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Confirmed. If the
bug no longer exists, change the bug status from Incomplete to Fix Released.

Thank you for your help, we really do appreciate it.

@bhildret,

You are now running plain 12.04? And, suspend / resume is working fine for you?

Sure is, I guess my CR-48 Chromebook didn't like 13.04. I am fine with 12.04 and have actually found a way to get additional hotkey shortcuts working by going onto the CR-48 wiki on the internet. It has been very helpful. Thank you for your concern.
