Bug Description
Python scriting isn't working in Raring (Ubuntu 13.04), obtaning "Failed to export QtiPlot API":
"Accessing QtiPlot functions or objects from Python code won't work. Probably your version of Qt/SIP/PyQt differs from the one QtiPlot was compiled against."
When trying to initialize the scripting. I have checked the needed libraries, It seems to be a compatibility problem

Thanks for the report, could you try:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:showard314/ qtiplot- ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qtiplot
It's the exact same package, just rebuilt against the new SIP libraries.
Let us know if that works. The i386 package is built, it may take some more time for the amd64 version to be built. You can see if the amd64 version is built here: /launchpad. net/~showard314 /+archive/ qtiplot- ppa/+build/ 4310818
