Bug Description

Hi

I'm using:

OS: Windows 2012
Browser: Firefox
OpenERP version 7.0-20130216-002451

After installing "Document Management System" module under OpenERP 7.0 I can browse the document and select it but it gets never loaded into OpenERP.

Please have a loot at the attached picture.

You use the German interface! Overwrite your translations of your instance and it will work - was an error in the translation file fixed 2 weeks ago

Note the Copy%20text part in the URL, like in lp:1096487. You should update and reload your translations like Felix suggests.

Short Version:

- I created a new database and installed the modules "Project management" and "Document Management System".
- I created a new Projekt and withing this project one task.

I could successfully add two text files and two word files to this new task but it fails if I try to add pdf-documents (tried several different small ones).

In the log file you can see that it throws an exception when I tray to add a PDF-File. But using the new database brought some success. Using this test33 database it was possbile to add text files, exe, word documents, etc.. This was not the case with the database containing the real project data.

Marco

Current status:

Adding file to project tasks using OpenERP 7.0 on Windows with the "Document Management System" works except if one is trying to add a pdf-file as I did.

The problem seems not the German language but a missing "pdf indexer" needed from this module.

Marco

Solution on Windows 2012 x64 for OpenERP 7.0:

- Download the Xpdf tools from Link here

(I used the precompiled binaries for Windows: xpdfbin-win-3.03)

- Create directory: C:/Program Files/Xpdf

- Copy the files from the extracted zip file based on your OS/Plattform from (bin32 or bin64) to the created directory

- Add environment variable to Windows for the program path C:/Program Files/Xpdf

- restart OpenERP 7.0 service

done :-)

Hint: I did not use the config-template file for the Xpdf tools. Maybe you will need to configure this file if you have advanced requirements
