Preferences window original size does not accomodate content

Bug Description
The initial size of the Preferences window does not accommodate its content, even when there is available screen space. Some content is then clipped and is illegible. When expanded the content is shown correctly. It would be nice to have a maximize button in the window decorations, to ease resizing. Presently there is none.

This probably happens because your are using a large font size. But it should not happen anyway. Will be tracking this on Github: https:/
